The Beetle Chair is a chair that represents a restructuring of the form of
folk art chairs in Japan from a completely new perspective.
Going back further into its history, it originates from the Windsor chair introduced to Japan from the UK.
We tried to extract its rustic beauty while simplifying its manufacturing method and materials.

「ビートル」は日本の民芸椅子のフォルムを新しい解釈で再構築した椅子である。
その歴史をさらに辿るとイギリスから伝わったウィンザーチェアがその原点であるが、
作り方や素材をよりシンプルにし、その素朴な雰囲気だけを取りだせないかと考えた。
